Aeroméxico announced two new nonstop routes from Mexico City International Airport to Nassau, Bahamas, and Montego Bay, Jamaica, commencing in March 2027. The Mexico City–Montego Bay service will begin on March 18, 2027, operating three times weekly on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Following that, the Mexico City–Nassau flights will start on March 19, 2027, with departures on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Flight schedules and aircraft details

The Montego Bay flights depart Mexico City at 9:20 a.m. and arrive at 2:00 p.m. local time, with return flights leaving Montego Bay at 3:15 p.m. and arriving in Mexico City at 6:20 p.m. Nassau flights leave Mexico City

at 9:10 a.m., arriving at 3:00 p.m., then return flights depart Nassau at 4:15 p.m. and land in Mexico City at 6:30 p.m. All flights will use Aeroméxico’s Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft with 166 seats.

Direct routes improve connectivity from Mexico

These are the first nonstop services connecting Mexico directly with the Bahamas and Jamaica. Previously, travelers had to transit through the United States or Panama when flying between these destinations. The new routes aim to improve traveler convenience by eliminating layovers and are part of Aeroméxico’s strategy to build its international route network.

Executives highlight strategic expansion

Aeroméxico Chief Executive Officer Andrés Conesa said the routes reinforce the

airline’s position internationally and bring passengers closer to popular destinations. “We continue to strengthen the ‘Eagle Knight’s’ leadership position in the international market and bring our passengers closer to the world’s most iconic destinations,” Conesa stated. Senior Vice President of Global Sales Giancarlo Mulinelli added that the routes provide direct access to diverse tourism, culinary, and cultural offerings from Mexico City.

Caribbean network and government approval

The addition of Nassau and Montego Bay expands Aeroméxico’s Caribbean network, which already includes nonstop flights to Punta Cana and Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic, as well as Havana, Cuba. According to reports, the new routes are subject

to government approval before commencing operations. The Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft planned for these flights will be configured with 166 seats, matching the airline’s standard for similar services.
