Accor’s MGallery Collection announced the signing of Ink 48 in New York City as its first flagship hotel in the United States in late September 2026. The landmark property is situated in Manhattan’s Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood and will become part of MGallery’s portfolio after extensive renovations.

Ink 48 Hotel Features and Location

Ink 48 is located on Manhattan’s West Side in Hell’s Kitchen, overlooking the Hudson River, near Times Square, Hudson Yards, and Broadway. The hotel offers 222 guestrooms, including 17 suites, along with a rooftop bar, Hudson VU, and a ground-floor restaurant, Hudson Local. It also features approximately 6,000 square feet of meeting and event

space and a fitness center, providing a comprehensive lifestyle experience for guests.

Renovation and Operational Plan

The hotel, originally opened in 2009, will undergo an extensive renovation to introduce MGallery’s brand elements and elevate guest experiences while maintaining Ink 48’s distinctive character. The property will operate independently through the renovation and is scheduled to officially join the MGallery Collection in 2028, with management by Rebel Hotel Company under the MGallery brand.

Ownership and Management Details

Ink 48 is jointly owned by Capstone Equities, a New York-based real estate investment firm, and Leyad, a Montreal-based investment company, each holding a 50% stake. Leyad acquired the hotel in 2024 at

a price of $275,000 per key, succeeding Brookfield Properties, which purchased it in 2019 for $82.7 million. Rebel Hotel Company will oversee hotel management after the rebranding.

Official Statements from Leadership

Maud Bailly, CEO of Sofitel Legend, Sofitel, MGallery & Emblems, described New York City as an influential travel destination and said that Ink 48 will play a crucial role as MGallery’s U.S. flagship, enhancing brand awareness and supporting expansion. Andres Ramirez, Head of Asset Management at Capstone Equities, highlighted Ink 48’s unique sense of place and MGallery’s suitability for elevating the guest experience while preserving valued features. Henry Zavriyev, President & CEO of

Leyad, called the partnership with Accor and Capstone a milestone aligned with their long-term strategy.

MGallery’s Global Expansion and U.S. Market Significance

With over 125 hotels worldwide and more than 60 projects under development, MGallery is expanding its footprint globally, including key destinations in Europe, Asia-Pacific, and the Americas. The U.S. is ranked among its top five feeder markets, making the signing of Ink 48 an important strategic entry. The brand focuses on storytelling, design, and authentic luxury experiences, matching rising traveler demands.

Guest Impact and Loyalty Benefits

Throughout the renovation period, Ink 48 will continue to serve guests as an independent hotel, ensuring uninterrupted operations until 2028. Once integrated into MGallery,

the property will offer enhanced guest services and design features. Guests will also benefit from Accor’s ALL loyalty program, which enables earning and redeeming points at Ink 48 and other properties within the group.
