Delta Air Lines announced in September 2026 that it will add nonstop flights from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to Monterey, California, and Philadelphia, expanding its service network at LAX.
Service Expansion and Operations at LAX
The airline plans to increase service to seven U.S. destinations including these new routes. Starting summer 2027, Delta will operate its largest and most premium service in LAX history, offering more than 200 daily departures during the peak travel season in partnership with other carriers.
These expanded operations reflect Delta’s strategic network planning focused on growth at LAX as a major Western US hub.

network planning, stated, “With new service to Monterey from both Los Angeles and Salt Lake City, alongside our continued growth at LAX, we’re creating more opportunities for customers to connect to the places they want to go while building on our long-term commitment to Los Angeles and the West.”
The new nonstop flights will provide travelers with additional direct options between Los Angeles and Monterey as well as Philadelphia. Delta’s investment aims to deliver a more seamless and premium customer experience at LAX, enhancing the airport’s role as a critical hub in its domestic network.
