Aeroméxico will begin nonstop flights from Mexico City International Airport to Nassau Airport in the Bahamas and Montego Bay Airport in Jamaica in March 2027, marking the first direct routes between Mexico and these Caribbean destinations. The airline already operates nonstop flights to Punta Cana and Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic, as well as Havana, Cuba.
Flight Schedules and Frequencies
The Mexico City to Montego Bay route will commence service on March 18, 2027, operating three times weekly on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Flights depart Mexico City at 9:20 a.m. and arrive in Montego Bay at 2 p.m. local time. Return flights leave
Montego Bay at 3:15 p.m. and arrive back in Mexico City at 6:20 p.m.
The service to Nassau will start on March 19, 2027, running on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Departures from Mexico City are scheduled for 9:10 a.m., arriving in Nassau at 3 p.m. local time. The return leg departs Nassau at 4:15 p.m. and lands in Mexico City at 6:30 p.m.
Aircraft and Regulatory Status
Both routes will be operated on Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft configured with 166 seats. These flights remain subject to government approval ahead of their launch in 2027.

Aeroméxico CEO Andrés Conesa emphasized the company’s goal to
strengthen its global market position, stating, “We continue to strengthen the ‘Eagle Knight’s’ leadership position in the international market and bring our passengers closer to the world’s most iconic destinations.” The airline’s emblem, the Eagle Knight or Caballero Águila, is featured on its aircraft tails.
Giancarlo Mulinelli, Senior Vice President of Global Sales, highlighted the value these new routes will add, noting, “These new routes will provide passengers with direct access to an extraordinary range of tourism, culinary, and cultural offerings, while strengthening our connectivity from Mexico City.” The launch aligns with Aeroméxico’s broader expansion strategy to increase international connectivity.
Traveler Impact and Capacity Increase
The new nonstop connections will eliminate the need for Mexican travelers to transit through the United States or Panama when flying to Jamaica or the Bahamas. For Holy Week in 2027 (March 21-28), the airline plans to offer over 4,000 seats weekly to Caribbean destinations, operating a total of 27 flights per week across its Caribbean network.
