Carnival Cruise Line announced new shorter cruise options from its Galveston, Texas homeport starting in April 2028 aboard the Excel-class ship Carnival Jubilee. This marks the first time this class of vessel will regularly sail four- and five-day itineraries from Galveston, adding flexibility for travelers.
Itineraries and Destination Ports
Carnival Jubilee will offer four-, five-, six-, and eight-day cruises along Western Caribbean routes through April 2029. Four-day sailings will run on select Thursdays between April 27, 2028, and April 26, 2029, stopping in Cozumel, Mexico. Five-day cruises will depart select Saturdays and Mondays from April 17, 2028, through April 30, 2029, with visits to
Cozumel and Progreso, Yucatán. A six-day cruise departing October 29, 2028, will include stops at Cozumel and Isla Tropicale, Roatán.
New Homeport Offering Greater Guest Options
The introduction of these short cruises from Galveston expands Carnival Cruise Line’s itinerary choices. By basing Carnival Jubilee, an Excel-class ship, in Galveston with a mix of four-, five-, six-, and eight-day cruises, the cruise line is targeting guests seeking diverse trip lengths and convenient Texas departures. The program runs from April 2028 through April 2029 and includes exclusive stops at Paradise Collection destinations.
