On September 21, 2026, Delta Air Lines announced new nonstop routes from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to Monterey, California, and Philadelphia as part of expanded service. These routes will begin in late 2026 and will supplement increased service to seven other U.S. destinations. The Monterey route will also be operated from Salt Lake City, enhancing Delta’s west coast network.

Amy Martin, Delta’s Vice President of Network Planning, said, “With new service to Monterey from both Los Angeles and Salt Lake City, alongside our continued growth at LAX, we’re creating more opportunities for customers to connect to the places they
want to go while building on our long-term commitment to Los Angeles and the West.”
Delta plans to offer its largest and most premium experience in company history at LAX next summer. Together with partner airlines, Delta will operate more than 200 daily departures during the summer peak period, significantly increasing flight options at the airport.
