Carnival Cruise Line announced the launch of short cruises from Galveston, Texas, for its 2028/29 season. The new offerings will be aboard Carnival Jubilee, an Excel-class ship, which will base at Galveston and provide a range of cruise durations to regional travelers starting April 2028.

Carnival Jubilee will operate four-, five-, six-, and eight-day cruises departing from Galveston between April 2028 and April 2029. Four-day Western Caribbean voyages will depart on select Thursdays starting April 27, 2028, through April 26, 2029, calling at Cozumel, Mexico. Five-day cruises, running from April 17, 2028, to April 30, 2029, will sail on select
Saturdays and Mondays, with itineraries including Cozumel and Progreso, Yucatán.
The ship will also offer six-day cruises, with one example departing on October 29, 2028, visiting Cozumel and Isla Tropicale, Roatán. These new offerings mark the first time Carnival’s Excel-class vessel will provide regular shorter cruises from the Galveston homeport.
