HCW announced a plan to construct a 140-room hotel under Hilton’s Tapestry Collection brand adjacent to the Horseshoe Indianapolis casino in Shelbyville, Indiana. The five-story hotel will cover 109,324 square feet and is projected to open in spring 2028, expanding Hilton’s presence with a boutique-style lodging option supported by the company’s global network.

Hotel Features and Amenities

The new property will include suites, king rooms, and double queen accommodations across its five floors. Guests will have access to a resort-style infinity pool overlooking adjacent water, with poolside seating for relaxing outdoors. The hotel will integrate a restaurant and bar offering outdoor poolside dining. For

meetings and events, it includes two flexible meeting rooms totaling 1,648 square feet, complemented by an on-site fitness center aimed at both leisure and business travelers.

Horseshoe Indianapolis Facilities

The hotel is situated next to Horseshoe Indianapolis, a Caesars Entertainment-operated venue featuring approximately 106,000 square feet of casino space. Horseshoe Indianapolis accommodates 1,480 gaming machines, 80 table games, a sportsbook, and 22,000 square feet of meeting space. It also operates a live racetrack, making the location a comprehensive entertainment and gaming destination.

Strategic Impact and Local Market

Rick Huffman, CEO of HCW, described the hotel project as an opportunity to complement Horseshoe Indianapolis’s offerings while creating its own

distinct destination experience. The development aims to combine the boutique character of Hilton’s Tapestry Collection with amenities such as lodging, dining, leisure, and meeting facilities to attract visitors attending gaming, racing, entertainment, and special events at the Shelbyville complex.
