A technical malfunction in the United Kingdom’s National Air Traffic Services system caused the cancellation of more than 1,900 flights over two days, according to TodayPress.tv citing The Guardian. The malfunction originated in the National Air Traffic Services system and caused serious disruption to the country’s air transport.
Although the technical problem has been resolved, flight chaos and significant flight delays continued into the second day. Tens of thousands of passengers faced long waits at airports in the United Kingdom as numerous flights were delayed alongside cancellations.
Experts believe it may take time for flight schedules to fully return to
normal despite the resolution of the malfunction.
