Dominica’s tourism sector generated approximately EC$405 million in revenue during the 2024-2025 period as the government sets an ambitious target of EC$1 billion for tourism industry earnings.
The government’s tourism growth strategy includes major infrastructure projects designed to increase visitor arrivals and revenue. The ongoing construction of the new Dominica International Airport aims to improve air access to the island. Alongside this, the government is investing in the development of a marina, which is expected to support further tourism expansion and contribute to the sector’s revenue.
Tourism Minister Denise Charles Pemberton highlighted tourism’s growing role in Dominica’s economic activity and
job creation. She emphasized that the combination of infrastructure development and continued investment is central to meeting the government’s goal of raising tourism revenue to EC$1 billion, solidifying tourism as a key component of the country’s economic growth.
