Palawan held a three-day travel expo in Cebu in late August 2026, the first time in 11 years the event was held outside Metro Manila.
Event Purpose and Historical Context
The expo aimed to bring Palawan’s tourism industry closer to the Visayas market. Previously, Palawan’s travel expos were conducted exclusively in Metro Manila for more than a decade as part of its strategy to promote tourism by expanding beyond the capital.
