On May 21, 2026, Canadian airports experienced significant disruptions with more than 59 flights cancelled and approximately 215 flights delayed across the country. This caused considerable inconvenience for thousands of travelers attempting to travel within Canada.
Major airlines affected by these disruptions included Air Canada, Inuit Airlines, Jazz Air, PAL Airlines, and WestJet. The cancellations and delays impacted several key airports such as Montreal, Toronto, Calgary, and CFB Goose Bay, as well as routes servicing northern Quebec.
