Las Vegas welcomed approximately 3,171,600 visitors in July 2026, marking a 2.7% increase over July 2025, according to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.
Convention attendance in the city, however, declined by 5.6%, with about 262,700 attendees recorded in July 2026. The drop is attributed to the Association of Woodworking & Furnishing Suppliers Fair relocating, as well as the CHAMPS trade show shifting to August, affecting July’s figures.
Hotel Occupancy and Rates Increase in July
Hotel occupancy in Las Vegas rose by 1.1 percentage points year-over-year, reaching 77.2% in July 2026. The average daily hotel rate also increased by 1.8%, climbing to $157 for the month.
Factors Behind Convention Attendance Decline
The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority cited the relocation of the Association of Woodworking & Furnishing Suppliers Fair and the rescheduling of the CHAMPS trade show to August as key reasons for the reduced convention attendance. The authority noted that improved leisure demand during the normally slower summer period helped offset the seasonal drop in convention visitors.
