Alaska Airlines will launch new seasonal nonstop services from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport to Athens International Airport and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport starting in the spring of 2027. The service to Athens begins on May 12, 2027, and the Paris route starts on May 25, 2027.
Flight Schedules and Ticket Sales
The Seattle to Athens flight, designated AS196, will operate three times a week through October 2027, with return flights starting May 13, 2027. The route to Paris, flight AS136, will run five times weekly through the fall season, with return flights from Paris beginning on May 26, 2027. Tickets for both routes became available
on August 20, 2026, with introductory roundtrip Main Cabin fares from $999 purchasable in the United States through August 26, 2026.
Aircraft and Passenger Amenities
Both new routes will use Alaska’s Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. The Dreamliner offers international business class featuring lie-flat suites and multi-course dining. West Coast brands Filson and Salt & Stone provide premium onboard amenities. Atmos Rewards members will have complimentary access to Starlink Wi-Fi, powered by T-Mobile, as Alaska completes the Wi-Fi installations across its fleet throughout 2027.
Seattle Hub and Network Expansion
Alaska Airlines operates over 360 peak-day departures from Seattle and serves 110 nonstop destinations. The airline’s current international nonstop flights from
Seattle include routes to Iceland, London, Rome, Seoul, and Tokyo. By 2030, Alaska plans to offer more than 12 international long-haul routes from Seattle and add at least five additional intercontinental destinations, expanding its Dreamliner fleet in support of this growth.
