The 20th Ho Chi Minh City International Travel Expo (ITE HCMC 2026) will take place from August 27 to 29, 2026, at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City. The event’s theme is “Vibrant Connections – Global Destinations.” It is organized under the direction of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, with joint organization by the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism and the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism. The Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Promotion Center and C.I.S Vietnam Advertising & Exhibition Joint

Stock Company are collaborating in implementation.

Participation and Scale

ITE HCMC 2026 expects participation from over 520 exhibitors and brands representing 34 Vietnamese provinces and cities. The event will host 260 international buyers from more than 40 countries and territories. Approximately 600 international delegates and 50 high-level delegations will attend. Organizers anticipate around 30,000 visitors and scheduled more than 21,000 business-to-business (B2B) appointments. Media coverage will include 60 international outlets.

Growth Since Inception

Since its inaugural event in 2005, ITE HCMC has grown from a regional trade event to one of Vietnam’s leading international tourism trade promotion platforms. In the initial 2005–2010 period, the expo featured

roughly 210 exhibitors and 120 international buyers, generating about 3,200 B2B appointments. By 2026, these numbers increased to over 520 exhibitors and brands, 260 international buyers, and more than 21,000 B2B appointments.

Role of Public-Private Partnerships

The 2026 edition heavily features public-private partnerships, mobilizing social resources and support from businesses, airlines, organizations, and partners domestically and internationally. This approach has enhanced the quality of event organization, professional programs, and hosting of international buyers, reflecting policies encouraging social resource mobilization in event planning.

Significance and Industry Impact

ITE HCMC serves as a major platform for local and international travel industry stakeholders. The expo facilitates tourism product development, cooperation agreements,

investment opportunities, and fosters inter-regional connectivity. The 20th anniversary edition marks the most significant expansion in the Expo’s history and contributes to promoting Vietnam’s image and international tourism collaboration.
