Allegiant Air is expanding its Tampa Bay network with new nonstop routes from St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport and Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport, effective November 2026, according to Florida News. The airline is adding flights connecting Tampa Bay area travelers directly to Savannah/Hilton Head, Georgia, and Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
Details of New Tampa Bay Nonstop Routes
Service from St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport to Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport will begin on November 15, 2026. Flights between Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport and Portsmouth International Airport at Pease in New Hampshire are scheduled to start on November 23, 2026. These additions form part of Allegiant’s broader network growth, which includes 11 new nonstop
routes overall.
Fare Information and Business Strategy
Introductory one-way fares for the Savannah/Hilton Head route will start at $39. Allegiant focuses on linking smaller and mid-sized markets with popular leisure destinations, favoring nonstop service instead of routing passengers through larger airline hubs. This approach supports convenience and direct connections for targeted leisure travelers.
Local Presence and Traveler Impact
St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport serves as an Allegiant operating base with extensive U.S. destinations, while Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport also hosts a significant Allegiant presence. The new routes will provide Tampa Bay area travelers with additional nonstop travel options, expanding service within markets where Allegiant already operates.
