Formby Hall Golf Resort & Spa, located in Formby, Merseyside, will host the 8th Golf Tourism England Convention from July 25-27, 2027.
The 2027 convention marks a decade since the launch of the Golf Tourism England flagship gathering, which was first held at Formby Hall in 2017. Formby Hall was chosen again to mark the 10-year anniversary of the event.
Celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2027, Formby Hall Golf Resort & Spa has a challenging 18-hole championship course. It is close to renowned courses on England’s Golf Coast such as Royal Birkdale, Hillside, Southport & Ainsdale, and Formby Golf Club.
Golf clubs, resorts, hotels, tour operators, and travel specialists from across Europe and the United States are expected to attend. Delegates will explore one of England’s most established golfing regions around Southport and England’s Golf Coast.
David Goscombe, Director of Golf & Leisure at Formby Hall, said, “Hosting the Golf Tourism England Convention again, ten years after the first event was held at Formby Hall, is something we’re really proud to be part of. The convention will be bringing some of the leading figures in golf tourism to this part of the country. It gives us the chance to show
them what Formby Hall has to offer and, just as importantly, introduce them to the wider golf experience across Southport and England’s Golf Coast.”
Golf tourism has long been a major part of the local visitor economy on England’s Golf Coast. The convention highlights this and gives industry professionals a platform to engage with the region’s golf tourism benefits.
