Allegiant Air announced the launch of new nonstop routes from two Tampa Bay area airports set to begin in November 2026. The carrier will introduce flights from St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport and Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport, enhancing its existing service in the region.
New Routes and Start Dates
The airline will begin nonstop service between St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport and Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport in Georgia starting November 15, 2026. Introductory one-way fares for this route begin at $39. Additionally, Allegiant will launch nonstop flights from Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport to Portsmouth International Airport at Pease in New Hampshire on November 23, 2026, providing Sarasota-area travelers with
direct access to a New England destination.
Network Expansion and Market Strategy
These two routes are part of a broader expansion across Allegiant’s network, which includes 11 new nonstop routes overall. The airline focuses on connecting smaller and mid-sized markets to popular vacation spots. Allegiant emphasizes nonstop flights rather than routing through major airline hubs to increase convenience for leisure travelers. St. Pete-Clearwater serves as an Allegiant operating base, and the carrier also maintains a significant presence at Sarasota-Bradenton.
Impact on Tampa Bay Travelers
The new nonstop services will provide additional direct travel options for passengers using Tampa Bay area airports. Travelers from the Tampa Bay region will access more
nonstop flights to select destinations, including Georgia and New England, expanding convenient leisure travel opportunities in markets where Allegiant already operates.
