Allegiant Air is set to introduce nine new routes in early 2027, with the only year-round addition connecting Cincinnati Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) to Orlando International Airport. Seasonal routes will begin around February and run through mid-April, targeting peak leisure travel periods.

Routes Target Spring Break Travelers

Most new flights are hyper-seasonal and designed to link northern U.S. markets with warm weather destinations in Florida. Seasonal service between Grand Forks, North Dakota, and Sanford, Florida, will operate from February 10 to April 17, 2027. Seven additional seasonal routes will connect airports in New England directly to Florida destinations.

Allegiant and Airport Officials Comment on Expansion

Drew Wells, Allegiant Air’s Chief Commercial

Officer, said, “We’re excited to announce these new routes into our growing network and will continue to look for opportunities to connect travelers with the destinations they want to visit most.” He emphasized that, “These new routes reflect the flexibility of our unique business model, allowing us to respond to demand and provide more options during peak leisure periods.” Kenton County Airport Board Chair Chad Summe noted that with the addition of the Orlando service, CVG’s nonstop destination count has increased to 23.

Allegiant’s model allows rapid adjustments to seasonal travel demand, which is reflected in the strategic planning of

these routes. Travelers gain increased options to reach popular leisure spots during spring break and other peak periods due to the timing and location of these services.
