Peterborough Cathedral Offers Naturally Cool Environment
Peterborough Cathedral features soaring ceilings, generous spaces, and natural air circulation, providing a naturally cool environment. This made it a comfortable and refreshing venue for visitors escaping the summer heat.
Summer Artisan Market Held on August 14 and 15
The Summer Artisan Market took place on Friday 14th and Saturday 15th August 2026 at the cathedral. Visitors to Travelling Bricks could enjoy the market with their exhibition ticket, while those wishing
to visit the market alone were admitted with a donation.
Titanosaur Dinosaur Display Adds to Visitor Appeal
The Natural History Museum’s 37-metre-long Titanosaur remains were exhibited alongside the Lego exhibition. This display provided an additional key attraction contributing to the multifaceted visitor experience at the cathedral.
Paul Stainton, Head of Marketing and Communications at Peterborough Cathedral, stated: “The success of exhibitions like Travelling Bricks makes a real and tangible contribution to the future of Peterborough Cathedral. Every ticket or donation helps us to keep the Cathedral going, and it is hugely encouraging to see so many new audiences coming through the doors from across the region. We
are incredibly proud of what the exhibition has achieved so far and very grateful to everyone who has visited and supported us. It also shows what we can achieve when we work together across the city. Bringing attractions, businesses and organisations together gives people even more reasons to visit Peterborough, spend time here and support the wider city centre.”
The combination of the Lego exhibition, Titanosaur display, and Summer Artisan Market boosted tourism activity in Peterborough throughout August 2026. These events attracted visitors from across the region, supporting the local economy and encouraging exploration of the city centre, according to
the Peterborough Telegraph.
