Allegiant Air announced on August 17, 2026, it will add nine new routes starting in early 2027. Most of these routes are hyper-seasonal flights intended to connect northern U.S. markets with warm destinations in Florida, targeting increased demand around the spring break period.

The only year-round service among the nine new routes will be between Cincinnati, Ohio, and Orlando, Florida, beginning February 12, 2027. Seasonal service will operate from Grand Forks, North Dakota, to Sanford, Florida, from February 10 through April 17, 2027.

Geographic Focus of New Routes

The majority of the new connections will link several points in New England to Florida, reflecting the

airline’s strategy to provide more travel options during peak leisure times. Aside from the Grand Forks-Sanford and Cincinnati-Orlando routes, details of the seven additional New England to Florida routes have not been disclosed.

Drew Wells, Allegiant Air’s chief commercial officer, stated, “We’re excited to announce these new routes into our growing network and will continue to look for opportunities to connect travelers with the destinations they want to visit most.” Wells added, “These new routes reflect the flexibility of our unique business model, allowing us to respond to demand and provide more options during peak leisure periods.”

Impact on Travelers

The expanded schedule

will offer travelers increased nonstop flight options during peak leisure travel periods beginning in early 2027, improving connectivity between northern markets and Florida’s popular destinations. The seasonal nature of most routes aligns with Allegiant’s business model, which adapts to demand fluctuations around leisure travel peaks such as spring break.
