Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, part of Accor Group, launched its first hotel in Thailand on 18 August 2026 with the opening of Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit in Bangkok’s Sukhumvit neighborhood. The property marks Fairmont’s initial entry into the Thai market and expands its luxury footprint in Southeast Asia.
Located in one of Bangkok’s most dynamic districts, the hotel features 416 guestrooms and 58 suites. Designed by the Thai architectural and interior design firm PIA, Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit draws inspiration from Thailand’s botanical heritage, particularly the golden ratchaphruek flower, which influences various design elements throughout the hotel.
Event and Meeting Spaces
The property includes 21,500 square
feet (2,000 square meters) of flexible event spaces spread over three floors. The Signature Grand Ballroom has a 12-meter-high ceiling and a dedicated arrival forecourt. Additional event venues include a second ballroom, seven breakout rooms, and Couture Hall, catering to conferences, weddings, and social gatherings.
Dining Venues and Entertainment
Seven dining venues will be available throughout 2026. Harper’s offers a North American-French brasserie concept combining Parisian elegance with New York sophistication. AELA Social Bar serves as a cocktail lounge transitioning from day to night, while CAYA Pool Club features contemporary Thai cuisine inspired by Bangkok’s night markets. Two rooftop dining concepts blending Italian and
Japanese influences alongside contemporary Thai cuisine will open in December 2026 on the hotel’s 32nd and 33rd levels.
Wiggle Room, an entertainment supper club with live music and theatrical cabaret performances, is scheduled to open in mid-September 2026. This venue has a private entrance on Sukhumvit Soi 18 and offers an immersive nightlife experience.
Wellness Facilities and Guest Experience
The hotel’s wellness amenities include the Fairmont Spa, inspired by the jasmine flower, a symbol of Thai hospitality. Fitness facilities called Fairmont Studio offer yoga, cardio, and strength training spaces. The Fairmont Fit program enables guests to maintain wellness routines during travel. Additional guest services include
a Kids Club for children and pet-friendly amenities for pets up to 30 kilograms.
Fairmont Gold guests receive enhanced services including a dedicated reception, exclusive lounge, and a dedicated concierge team for personalized experiences.
Sustainability and Corporate Partnerships
Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit has achieved LEED Gold certification. The hotel incorporates biophilic design, water recycling, energy-efficient systems, superior indoor air quality, electric vehicle charging stations, and a heat-reduction façade. These features align with Asset World Corp Public Company Limited’s (AWC) Sustainable Growth-led Strategy and the sustainability goals of Accor and Fairmont.
The hotel was developed through a partnership between Accor and AWC, with Asset World Corp
leading the project under CEO Wallapa Traisorat. The property’s design and operations reflect a commitment to connecting travelers, local communities, and businesses while promoting sustainable development in Bangkok.
Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit’s general manager, Jerome Lobier, emphasized the hotel’s role as a gathering place for both international visitors and local residents, offering exceptional dining, wellness, and event experiences in the heart of Bangkok.
