The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has launched the V-Pass facial recognition biometric system, initiating its deployment nationwide at all Nigerian domestic airports starting in July 2026.
FAAN’s roll-out of V-Pass targets the verification of passenger identities, aiming to improve security protocols at domestic airports across Nigeria. Beginning July 2026, domestic travelers will be subjected to this biometric system during airport processing.
