Thunderstorms at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas led the Federal Aviation Administration to first issue a ground delay before escalating to a ground stop today. The FAA suspended all flights from departing the airport during the adverse weather conditions.
Southwest Airlines flights were directly impacted by the FAA ground stop. An average delay of 39 minutes was initially reported for Southwest flights. Passengers on affected flights were urged to check the status of their flights on the Harry Reid Airport website, according to KSNV.
