Celebrity Cruises announced its 2028 and 2029 deployment plans that cover all seven continents, featuring expanded itineraries across Europe, Alaska, Asia, Australia, South America, Antarctica, and New England. The cruise line’s schedule introduces new ports of call and lengthened seasons to increase travel options worldwide for guests.
Expanded Europe Itineraries with Four Edge Series Ships
For the first time, four Edge Series ships, including the renewed Celebrity Beyond, will operate in Europe during 2028 and 2029. Celebrity Beyond will return to the continent after a 2026 refurbishment, adding the Mediterranean restaurant Bora and the Celebrity Pool Club, which includes Orange Peel Bar & Grille and Tacos del Sol.
Its European voyages will last from seven to 14 nights, departing Southampton to Norwegian, Icelandic, and Scandinavian destinations.
Celebrity Beyond’s routes include 14-night cruises calling at Reykjavik, Isafjordur, Akureyri, and Seydisfjordur in Iceland before sailing Norway’s fjords including Geiranger, Alesund, Flam, Nordfjordeid, and Bergen. Celebrity Summit will complement these sailings with round-trip journeys from Reykjavik exploring Iceland further.
Celebrity Apex will offer 12-night voyages covering Scandinavia and the British Isles, such as Oslo, Skagen, Stockholm, Tallinn, Helsinki, Copenhagen, and will make Celebrity Cruises’ initial visit to Galway, Ireland. Mediterranean sailings of seven to 11 nights will be operated by Celebrity
Xcel, Celebrity Ascent, and Celebrity Eclipse, visiting Italy, France, Spain, Morocco, Portugal, Greece, and Turkey.
Celebrity Constellation will provide 10- and 11-night sailings between Italy and Croatia, including a stop in Bari, Italy, Celebrity Cruises’ first visit there since 2014. Celebrity Infinity will offer year-round Europe itineraries, marking the line’s return to Egypt with overnight stays in Alexandria and seasonal calls in Athens, Santorini, Kavala, Rhodes, Mykonos, and Ephesus.
Alaska Cruises and Land-Based Explorations
Three ships will sail Alaska in 2028: Celebrity Edge, Celebrity Equinox, and Celebrity Millennium. Celebrity Equinox is set to operate seven-night open-jaw sailings between Vancouver and Seward for the first time,
alongside round-trip Hawaii sailings from Los Angeles. Celebrity Millennium will maintain round-trip Alaska departures from Vancouver.
Celebrity Equinox will also introduce land-based Alaska Cruisetours featuring guided visits to Anchorage, Talkeetna, and Denali, offering shore excursions incorporating local expertise and travel over remote roads and railways.
Asia, Australia, and New Zealand Voyages
Celebrity Edge and Celebrity Solstice will conduct a total of 23 sailings from Sydney and Auckland across Australia and New Zealand. These itineraries range from four to 14 nights encompassing highlights such as Australia’s wine regions and New Zealand’s fjords. South Pacific calls include Tauranga in New Zealand, Lifou in the Loyalty Islands, and Mystery
Island in Vanuatu.
Celebrity Solstice will sail a full Japan season from April to October 2028 for the first time, visiting Tokyo, Kyoto, Aomori, and Okinawa, with participations in festivals such as Golden Week and Gion Matsuri. Celebrity Millennium will also offer spring and fall sailings in Asia showcasing Cherry Blossom and Hibiscus seasons, with 17 visits planned for Okinawa.
Southeast Asia Winter Sailings and New Year’s Event in Hong Kong
During the winter season, Celebrity Solstice and Celebrity Millennium will operate voyages through Southeast Asia, stopping in Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, and China. Overnight stays are scheduled in Bangkok, Phuket, Benoa (Bali), Hanoi, Hong Kong, and Penang, allowing extended exploration
of these cultural centers. Celebrity Millennium includes a New Year’s Eve overnight stop in Hong Kong featuring fireworks for the 2029 celebration.
South America, Antarctica, Bermuda, Canada, and New England
Celebrity Equinox will offer 12- to 16-night itineraries to South America and Antarctica, visiting five countries including Chile, Argentina, and exploring subpolar regions such as Patagonia and the Chilean Fjords. The itineraries highlight glaciers, penguin colonies, Iguazu Falls, and cultural stops with overnight visits in Valparaiso, Chile and Buenos Aires, Argentina. Sailing routes include passage through Cape Horn adjacent to Tierra del Fuego National Park.
A 16-night Antarctica holiday sailing for the New Year is part of the
offering. Celebrity Summit will conduct seven-night Bermuda cruises from Cape Liberty, New Jersey, including two overnight stays. From Boston, 12-night cruises during September and October 2028 will cover Canada and New England, with overnight calls planned in Quebec City.
