The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) launched its V-Pass facial recognition system and began deploying it across Nigerian domestic airports in July 2026.
The biometric system aims to provide faster and more secure processing for passengers traveling within Nigeria, enhancing the efficiency of domestic air travel through the use of facial recognition technology.
