Updated Launch Timeline for Mid-Size Ships
The timeline has been revised to bring forward the launches of Ship 11 and Ship 12 to the 2029 calendar year. Ship 11, a rumored mid-size vessel, and Ship 12, a second mid-size ship, will both debut in 2029, with Ship 12 targeted for late in the year. Ship 13’s launch date has been moved up from 2031 to late

Oriental Land Company’s Japan-Based Ship Scheduled for 2029
In addition to Disney Cruise Line’s fleet expansion, a ship operated by the Oriental Land Company will begin service in Japan under the Disney Cruise Line brand in 2029. The Oriental Land Company’s schedule independently targets full-year operations in fiscal 2029, aligning with calendar year 2029 for the ship’s debut.
Ship Construction Progress and Locations
Disney Believe is currently under construction at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany, where significant progress has been observed, including work on the ship’s funnel. This vessel remains the closest to completion among the five new ships planned within the updated timeline.

Disney Cruise Line initially announced a general
schedule for new ship deliveries spread from 2029 to 2031, anticipating one ship launch per year. The revised timeline now offers a more detailed schedule and accelerates two ships’ deliveries into the 2029 calendar year, signaling a swift expansion phase.
