Taiwan authorized the development of a new bullet train capable of reaching speeds of 300 kilometers per hour on August 6, 2026. The train’s design is based on the technology of Japan’s Shinkansen high-speed rail system.
Officials from the Taiwan high-speed rail authority announced the project as part of efforts to enhance the country’s high-speed rail infrastructure. The implementation of this advanced rail technology is expected to improve travel efficiency and strengthen connectivity within Taiwan.
