Carnival Cruise Line has canceled nine cruises aboard its Carnival Jubilee ship scheduled to sail from Galveston between August and December 2027. The affected itineraries include destinations in the Bahamas and Caribbean.
Cancellation Due to Itinerary Changes
The cancellations were attributed to itinerary adjustments by Carnival Cruise Line. The company informed USA TODAY in an email that these changes led to scrapping the nine sailings planned for that period.
A Carnival Cruise Line representative stated, “Affected guests and their travel advisors have been notified and provided with a range of alternative sailing options and accommodations.”
Impact on Passengers
Guests booked on the canceled sailings are required to rebook or accept alternate accommodations as offered by Carnival. Notifications have been sent directly to those affected and their travel advisors to facilitate adjustments.
Background on Cruise Cancellations
This announcement follows
earlier cancellations by Carnival, which scrapped nearly a dozen late-2026 cruises aboard the Carnival Firenze. While cruise cancellations are relatively uncommon, they can occur due to ships being chartered or requiring dry-dock maintenance and refurbishment.
