Delta Air Lines Affected Most at LaGuardia Amid FAA Measures
Delta Air Lines reported the majority of flight cancellations at LaGuardia as of Monday morning. Earlier this month, the FAA implemented slowdowns
at JFK, LaGuardia, Newark Liberty International, and Philadelphia International Airports due to weather and air traffic control staffing constraints, resulting in over 500 cancellations and around 4,000 delays.
A ground stop restricts all flights departing for a specific airport, holding them at their points of origin until the stop is lifted. This ensures that no additional flights are en route to the airport while operational challenges persist on the ground.
