BWH Hotels GB has expanded its UK hotel portfolio with the addition of three new independent properties located in the New Forest, West London, and Newark-on-Trent. These acquisitions contribute around 100 bedrooms, bringing the total number of new rooms added through signings in the past twelve months to nearly 300. Over the same period, six independent hotels have joined BWH Hotels GB’s network, reinforcing its presence in both leisure and business travel sectors, according to Travel And Tour World.

Hotel Locations and Investments

The Forest Lodge Hotel, part of the BW Signature Collection, is situated in Lyndhurst within the New Forest National Park area.

It preserves its local character while enhancing its visibility to international travellers interested in nature-based tourism, including access to woodlands and cycling routes.

Best Western Chiswick Rooms, located in West London’s commercial district, underwent a £500,000 refurbishment. The hotel offers approximately 25-minute travel times to Central London and 20 minutes to Heathrow Airport, targeting corporate clients and international visitors needing convenient airport access.

Sure Hotel Newark, near Newark-on-Trent’s market square and Newark Castle, adds about 30 bedrooms. It caters to both leisure and business guests, capitalizing on the town’s growing visitor economy tied to heritage tourism and local culture.

Commercial Performance and Affiliation Benefits

The

Royal Maritime Hotel, which joined BWH Hotels GB earlier, generated close to £50,000 in new business within its first month of affiliation, surpassing revenue expectations. This demonstrates the commercial benefits gained through BWH Hotels GB’s global distribution channels and marketing support.

Hotels affiliated with BWH Hotels GB maintain their independent identities while accessing international reservation systems, revenue management, and the Best Western Rewards loyalty programme that includes over 60 million members globally. The group’s flexible affiliation model allows hotels to retain operational control while benefiting commercially.

Traveller Benefits Across the UK

Guests booking at BWH Hotels GB properties gain access to a wider range of

independently operated accommodations across Great Britain. The combination of local character and international booking infrastructure enhances traveller choices.

Best Western Chiswick Rooms provides easy transport links to both Central London and Heathrow Airport, appealing to business and international travellers. Forest Lodge Hotel supports nature-focused tourism in the New Forest, while Sure Hotel Newark offers proximity to cultural and heritage sites in Nottinghamshire.

Affiliated hotels also enable customers to participate in the Best Western Rewards programme, earning points and accessing exclusive promotions during their stays.

Industry Trends and Strategic Importance

Independent UK hotel owners increasingly favor flexible affiliations that combine global market access with the preservation

of their unique operational identities. This approach contrasts with traditional franchise models, enabling hotels to better handle rising operational costs and competitive online booking environments.

The demand for authentic local experiences in accommodation continues alongside a preference for trusted brand recognition, prompting more independent properties to join networks like BWH Hotels GB. These partnerships provide access to online distribution, marketing expertise, and revenue management while maintaining local management and guest experiences.

Expansion of BWH Hotels GB reflects confidence in the hospitality sector’s ongoing adaptation to changes in domestic tourism, international arrivals, and business travel. The group anticipates additional hotel signings

in 2026 to further grow its presence across Great Britain.
