London Northwestern Railway (LNR) will experience service disruptions on Friday 10 July and Saturday 11 July 2026 due to planned strike action by the TSSA trade union.
No trains will operate on the Marston Vale Line between Bedford and Bletchley during the strike.
A limited train service will run on the London Euston – Crewe route, stopping at Milton Keynes, and on the Birmingham – London Euston line via Northampton, with one train per hour on each route on both strike days.
On Friday, no trains will run after 19:00 BST, with the last departure scheduled by 17:30. Stops at
Milton Keynes, Northampton, Watford Junction, and St Albans Abbey will see reduced service levels during the strike.
Official Statements and Travel Advice
Jonny Wiseman, a representative for London Northwestern Railway, said the industrial action by the TSSA trade union would “cause significant disruption for our customers.” He apologized for the inconvenience and confirmed that the company is “doing everything we can to minimise the impact.”
Passengers are urged to plan journeys carefully on the affected dates due to cancellations and limited train availability.
Post-Strike Service Disruption
LNR has warned that some disruption is expected on Sunday morning, 12 July 2026, caused by displacement of trains resulting from the
strike action on the previous two days.
