London Northwestern Railway (LNR) services will experience significant disruption due to a planned two-day strike by the TSSA trade union on Friday 10 July and Saturday 11 July 2026.

Train services will be completely suspended on the Marston Vale Line between Bedford and Bletchley. Reduced service frequencies will affect services calling at Milton Keynes, Northampton, Watford Junction and St Albans Abbey.

On Friday 10 July 2026, no trains will operate after 19:00 BST, with the last departure scheduled at 17:30 BST. Limited routes operating during the strike include a one train per hour service between London Euston and Crewe, stopping

at Milton Keynes, and a one train per hour route from Birmingham to London Euston via Northampton.

Jonny Wiseman from London Northwestern Railway acknowledged the strike by the TSSA trade union will “cause significant disruption for our customers.” He apologised for the inconvenience and said, “we are doing everything we can to minimise the impact.”

Passengers are advised to plan ahead for travel on Friday 10 and Saturday 11 July 2026 due to cancellations and fewer trains. The last train will leave no later than 17:30 BST on Friday, with no service after 19:00 BST.

Some ongoing disruption is anticipated

on Sunday morning 12 July 2026 as a result of train displacement caused by the strike action over the preceding two days.
