More than 900 flights were cancelled at London Heathrow and Gatwick airports on June 30, 2026, causing significant disruption in two of the UK’s major aviation hubs.

These cancellations were a direct result of severe thunderstorms affecting the London area on the same day. Approximately 40,000 passengers faced delays and were stranded due to the operational impact of the adverse weather conditions.
