On June 24, 2026, a significant number of flights across major airports in Australia and New Zealand were delayed or cancelled. More than 700 flight delays and over 20 cancellations were reported, impacting several prominent carriers including Qantas, Jetstar, Virgin Australia, British Airways, Air New Zealand, Qatar Airways, and American Airlines.
Airports that saw the most disruption included Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, as well as Auckland and Wellington in New Zealand. Additional delays and cancellations also affected airports in Adelaide and Perth. These disruptions led to widespread inconvenience for hundreds of passengers at these key aviation hubs.
