On June 16, 2026, several key airports across the United States experienced widespread interruptions to their flight operations. A total of 458 flights were cancelled, while an additional 885 flights encountered schedule disruptions impacting routes in major hubs.
Airports in Atlanta, New York City, Boston, Newark, and Los Angeles were among those most affected by the disruptions. The large number of cancellations and delays resulted in many travelers facing missed connections, extended overnight waits, and prolonged efforts to secure rebookings.
