Germany emerged as the leading source market for Croatia’s tourism sector in the first half of 2026, with visitor numbers exceeding four million. This figure places Germany ahead of other significant countries such as the United Kingdom, Poland, the United States, Slovenia, and Austria in terms of tourist arrivals to Croatia during this period.

Several prominent Croatian destinations have experienced notable increases in visitor traffic, contributing to a year-round travel surge and record-breaking growth in the tourism industry. These include popular coastal and inland locations such as the Adriatic coast, Istria, Dubrovnik, Split, the Kvarner region, and the capital city

of Zagreb.
