Norwegian Cruise Line is discontinuing the deployment of Norwegian Viva in San Juan, Puerto Rico, resulting in the cancellation of almost nine months of scheduled sailings from the port. This adjustment removes a significant presence from Puerto Rico’s cruise offerings into late 2026.
In conjunction with this change, Norwegian Viva’s homeport is being reassigned to Miami, where it will remain based through the year 2028. This relocation affects numerous scheduled Caribbean cruises that previously departed from San Juan, reflecting the line’s renewed focus on its Miami operations and expansion in the Bahamas region.
