India Railways is set to introduce a bullet train line linking Delhi with Siliguri. This new rail corridor represents a significant development in the country’s ongoing high-speed rail initiatives.

Key urban centers along this route include Lucknow, Varanasi, and Patna, which the train will connect on its way from the national capital to Siliguri in the northeast.

The project aims to considerably shorten travel time between Delhi and Siliguri, targeting a journey duration of approximately six hours once the bullet train is operational.

This high-speed rail effort is part of India’s broader ambitions to expand its fast rail network and

enhance intercity connectivity.
