India has announced the development of a high-speed bullet train route connecting the capital city, Delhi, to Siliguri in the northeastern part of the country. This new rail service is expected to substantially reduce travel time between these two locations to approximately six hours.
Route and Significance
The planned route for the bullet train includes key cities such as Lucknow, Varanasi, and Patna. Incorporating these stops reflects the project’s importance in advancing India’s high-speed rail network and improving connectivity among major urban centers.
With this initiative, India Railways aims to modernize its transport infrastructure by introducing faster travel options that enhance convenience for
passengers covering long distances within the country.
