Indian Railways has proposed a bullet train service between Delhi and Siliguri with the goal of reducing travel time to approximately six hours. This plan aims to significantly shorten the journey along this key corridor in India.
Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced the initiative in June 2026, highlighting it as part of India’s broader efforts to enhance rail infrastructure and connectivity across the region.
