California has received official authorization to commence construction on the first authentic high-speed rail mile in the United States. This initiative represents the country’s initial venture into establishing a track segment capable of supporting true high-speed rail operations.
While Japan began operating its bullet trains over six decades ago, in 1964, this recent approval marks the starting point for similar high-speed rail infrastructure in the US. The project heralds the beginning of construction for high-speed rail technology within California, aiming to introduce faster rail services as development continues.
