The Sri Lanka Convention Bureau recently undertook a comprehensive series of roadshows in India, targeting key cities such as Ahmedabad, Kolkata, and Chennai. These events were designed to highlight Sri Lanka’s capabilities and appeal as a destination for business-related travel, focusing specifically on meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) sectors.

Focus on Business Tourism and MICE Marketing in India

The roadshows were aimed at strengthening Sri Lanka’s position within the Indian market as a preferred location for business tourism. Through this initiative, the Sri Lanka Convention Bureau sought to build momentum in attracting meetings and incentive groups from India, emphasizing the country’s offerings tailored to corporate and event-based travelers.

By engaging with stakeholders across these major Indian cities, the bureau reinforced its commitment to expanding MICE flows and showcasing Sri Lanka’s diverse business tourism potential. These activities are part of ongoing efforts to develop the relationship between Sri Lanka and India in the context of professional and incentive tourism.
