
The California High-Speed Rail Authority has awarded a contract valued at $3.5 billion to a consortium led by Kiewit to advance the installation of critical rail infrastructure. This contract represents a key development for the high-speed rail line’s progress through California’s Central Valley.
Under this agreement, the Kiewit-led consortium will be responsible for the installation of track and railway systems that form an essential component of the electrified infrastructure needed for the future operation of the high-speed rail service. This contract specifically covers the Central Valley section, marking a significant phase of ongoing construction efforts.
