The African Union recently convened the joint 9th session of its Specialized Technical Committee (STC) on Finance, Monetary Affairs, Economic Planning and Integration together with the 5th session of the STC on Trade, Tourism, Industry and Minerals. These meetings were held to deliberate on several key economic and sectoral issues affecting the continent.
Focus on Economic and Tourism Sector Development
The assemblies concentrated on advancing regional cooperation in finance, economic planning, and integration, alongside discussions on trade, tourism, industry, and mineral resources. This combined approach aims to support coordinated strategies for development within Africa, with a particular emphasis on improving frameworks that influence tourism and economic growth
across member states.
