Tropical Storm Jangmi has led to widespread disruptions in air travel across Japan, with approximately 1,432 flights canceled. Several major airlines including Japan Airlines, ANA, Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air, Skymark, and ANA Wings have been affected as they suspend or adjust flight schedules amid the severe weather conditions.

Flight interruptions have occurred at several key airports such as Tokyo, Narita, Nagoya, Osaka, Okinawa, and Fukuoka. Notably, routes between Hanoi and Tokyo, including both Haneda and Narita airports, have also been impacted by cancellations and delays from carriers like Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet Air. In addition to the cancellations, delays are

reported to have affected roughly 834 flights, intensifying the operational challenges across these hubs.

Impact Across Japan’s Major Airports

The storm’s influence extends across Japan’s main international and domestic airports, with significant disruptions reported in both the Tokyo metropolitan area and western regions including Osaka. Passengers flying through these airports should anticipate cancellations and longer wait times as airlines manage ongoing schedule changes prompted by Storm Jangmi’s impact.

The extensive flight adjustments reflect the continuing effect of adverse weather on Japan’s aviation operations. Travelers are advised to check the latest flight information before heading to the airport to avoid complications during this period of disruption.
