Mexico emerged as the top performer in North America’s travel sector in 2025, according to data released by the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC). The country led the region in travel growth, maintaining strong momentum throughout the year.

Mexico’s Leading Role in Regional Travel Spending and Arrivals

In addition to growth rates, Mexico also recorded the highest levels of travel spending and international visitor arrivals across North America in 2025. This data affirms Mexico’s position as a key destination in the continent’s tourism industry, with sustained demand supporting its travel and tourism market.
